Our Mission
Cards4Humanity is a game that plants seeds of kindness and inspiration in the lives of others, while helping you create a habit of happiness from the joy of giving.
Through the act of giving away 21 cards to friends or strangers, Cards4Humanity seeks to teach about the power of kindness and the impact it can have on our happiness, health and our life. The phrases on the front of each Cards4Humanity inspire us, while the thought-provoking questions and link to online video messages on the backs of the cards help us realize the power we have to create a happy and fulfilling life for ourselves – and others.
With Cards4Humanity, we discover the joy that comes from being kind – both to ourselves and others – and discover that by engaging in simple acts of giving, our life changes as well.
After all, each of us calls planet Earth “home” and Cards4Humanity reminds us: We’re in this together. When we show a little kindness to each other, we receive a whole lot of kindness and happiness in return.
This is how we create a better world for others, and ourselves.
And that, is what we call a “win” for everyone.
Our Story
Hi. I’m Andrea, creator of Cards4Humanity.
Cards4Humanity is a game created for all humanity to play – and that means you.
The inspiration for Cards4Humanity started with a story I heard while traveling years ago that changed my life. And now, I’d love to pass that story along to you! So settle in and get comfy…
This is a story… about a story… and how you play the most important part.
Traveling & Seeking...
Have you ever laid awake at night thinking about the “BIG” questions in life? You know the ones I’m talking about. Questions like: “What am I supposed to be doing with my one precious life?” or “What can I do to make a meaningful difference in this world?”
Those questions kept me awake All. The. Time. I desperately wanted to know the answers (and get some sleep) and as convenient as it would be, I knew Google wouldn’t bring me what I was looking for (believe me, I tried). So one day I decided to quit my job, sell my things, and set out to find them myself.
I spent several years traveling the world, saying “yes” to adventures, meeting the most amazing people from all walks of life, and studying at different spiritual centers. I spent 40 days in silence, logged hours of yoga on my mat, and learned about the power of energy and vibration and how it affects our lives.
I was fascinated by all I was learning but none of it seemed to give me that one answer I was looking form. Then one day while riding a bus between towns, I heard a simple story from a fellow traveler that answered biggest question of all:
“What’s our purpose for being here?”
When I heard this story riding along the bumpy road that day, it planted itself like a seed in my mind. Although it took a few years, eventually this story sprouted into the inspiration behind Cards4Humanity and happens to be the reason you’re reading these words now.
I’m a BIG believe in the power of stories to shape our lives and this particular life-changing story goes like this…
Train Rides & Tossing Seeds
At the turn of the century, there lived a wise spiritual teacher who knew the secrets to life and the mysteries of the world. This woman (an actual person) dedicated her life to teaching others all she knew, spending her days traveling throughout Europe by train, visiting city after city, to share her wisdom and magic with others.
On every trip, she was rumored to perform the same unusual act.
Sitting by the open window of the train with a bag of wildflower seeds on her lap, she’d reach into the bag and toss the seeds – over and over – out the open window onto the passing landscape below.
One day, a passenger asked her,
“Why do you do this? If you will never pass this way again, why waste your time and money throwing seeds for flowers you may never see grow?“
To this, the wise woman replied,
“I may never see the flowers grow, but think of the countless others who will pass this way and delight in their beauty for years to come.“
“This,” she said, “is the meaning of life.”
It was from this story a question sprouted:

And this is how Cards4Humanity was born.
Seeds of Kindness
Cards4Humanity are like tiny seeds meant to be planted in the lives of others for the purpose of spreading joy, kindness and a little encouragement in unexpected moments – quite possibly when it’s needed most.
Many of us want to be kind and do something meaningful for this world, but so often life can feel like a fast-moving train speeding along at a dizzying pace and opportunities to be kind are missed. We don’t have the time, or we’re not even sure what to do to help in a particular situation.
We get it.
That’s why Cards4Humanity was created to allow you, in simple moments of your day, to easily share a little kindness and inspire happiness in another.
In any moment of your day, all you have to do is give or leave a Cards4Humanity with it’s encouraging words and kind message.
And then, like tiny wildflower seeds, Cards4Humanity become planted in the lives of others and have the potential to grow into so much more.
With each Cards4Humanity you give:
The world becomes a little kinder.
We feel a little more inspired…
And a little less alone.
In the end, we remember that we’re all part of the same team –
Humanity – and here to experience this “game of life” together.
